Presenter BIOS

Jeffrey Abramowitz, JD

 

Jeffrey Abramowitz, J.D is the founder and president of the National Workforce Opportunity Network, a fully integrated workforce development and career placement agency which serves individuals with barriers to gainful employment. Jeff is currently a 2018 Fellow for Justleadership USA. Jeff was a civil trial lawyer for over twenty years when poor choices led to a federal indictment, acceptance of responsibility and a five year sentence in the federal prison system. Jeff has most recently served as the Director of Student Services & Workforce Development for Community Learning Center, an adult literacy agency serving Philadelphians who are undereducated, unemployed or underemployed.   

Jeffrey is a keynote speaker and lecturer around the country on issues of adult education, workforce development and criminal justice.

Lennie Carter, MS

Lennie Carter is the Founder and CEO at Trucircle, a mental health tech startup connecting mental health professionals with clients in underserved communities using a HIPAA compliant secure video chat client engagement platform. Prior to launching this startup he spent 15+ years doing everything from Human Resources and project management to sales, marketing and operations. Lennie holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Stony Brook University. 

Sonya Love, MS

Sonya is an educator driven to promote a culture of privacy compliance within health care facilities. In her current role as Privacy Manager for AtlantiCare Health System, she oversees all activities related to privacy compliance with federal and state law, while also serving as a HIPAA resource to a workforce of over 5500 staff members and the local community. She possesses a graduate degree in Communications, with undergrad degrees in Public Health and Paralegal Studies. As a Certified HIPAA Administrator, Sonya is adept at simplifying the HIPAA Privacy Rule for health care professionals and providing guidance to avoid unauthorized access or disclosure of patient health information. Appreciative of the public’s increased awareness of privacy and security issues in healthcare, her key advice to medical professionals is consistent - “If you’re not in the medical record for business, then you have no business in the medical record”. 

Jennifer McClendon LPC, LCADC, ACS

 

Jennifer McClendon is a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, national certified counselor, and an approved clinical supervisor. She operates and maintains a private mental health counseling practice where she specializes in trauma/post traumatic stress disorder, substance use, reentry counseling, and mood disorders. Jennifer holds a Master of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Individualized Studies with a specialization in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Jennifer holds the leadership position of webinar coordinator for the International Association of Addiction and Offender Counselors (IAAOC), a division of the American Counseling Association. She presents at local and national conferences on the topics of mental health and wellness, reentry counseling, and recovery.
