Meet Shaun Mohamed

In March, Shaun traveled from New York to film AC Recovery Stories at the Noyes Arts Garage in Atlantic City, NJ. Shaun is currently pursuing his Bachelors degree in network security at New York City College of Technology. He's a native New Yorker passionate about technology and activist work. In his spare time he likes to listen to music and gain more knowledge on tech related issues. Shaun became a part of the #CloseRikers campaign as a protester, where the goal was to shut down Rikers Island; the mayor has vowed to close the jail over the next nine years. He also worked with Katal as a speaker to assembly members to help pass S1998A Kalief's Law which stops anyone under the age of 18 from going to Rikers Island; the law was passed two weeks later.
